Lesson Dates 2011-2012

Private lessons run for 36 weeks beginning the week of September 12th, 2011. Lessons are held in various locations in Etobicoke, West Toronto, and Mississauga. Lessons finish December 24th, 2011, for the winter holidays and resume January 9th, 2012. They will end for the year the week of June 3rd (ending on June 9th), 2012.

Special Groups 2011-2012

Dixon Grove Junior Middle School, 6:00-7:00 pm, tune up at 5:30
September 21, 2011: Open House and Supergroup, lunchroom (The Sound Post will be present; ESM families will have used instruments for sale)
November 23, 2011: Winter Concert Rehearsal
April 25, 2012: Spring Concert Rehearsal

Regular Group Classes 2011-2012

September: 21 (opening Supergroup*), 28
October: 5, 19, 26 (no groups 12th)
November: 2, 9, 16 (no groups 23rd & 30th)
December: No groups
January: 11, 18, 25, (no groups 4th)
February: 1, 8, 15, 22, 29
March: 7,28 (no groups 14th & 21st)
April: 4, 11, (no groups 18th & 25th)

*Opening Supergroup: All students will tune up in the lunchroom at 5:30 pm and the class will run 6:00 - 7:00 pm. Concert Rehearsals: Tune up at 5:30; violins in lunchroom, cellos in room 106; senior students also in lunchroom 7:00 - 9:00 pm.

Please note: There are no Enrichment, Music & Movement or Headstart classes on Supergroup, Concert Rehearsal or Orchestra/Chamber Concert days.

Holidays and Cancellations

Our program will be closed from December 24, 2011 - January 8, 2012 for Winter Holidays and fromMarch 12 - 16, 2012 for March Break. Lessons missed on any other weeks for Winter Holidays or March Break will not be made up. Any group classes cancelled for inclement weather or other exceptional circumstances will not be made up.
